PRP Support Unit
The objective of the support unit is to provide support to the PRP Taskforce.
PIFS, SPREP and SPC (with the support from other stakeholders) work collectively and collaboratively to provide support to enable efficient and effective functioning of the PRP Taskforce.
The Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat support Forum Members to work together through deeper forms of regionalism in support of sustainable development, economic growth, good governance and security. PIFS will provide leadership in convening and coordinating political dialogue as it pertains to the FRDP and the broader resilience agenda.
The Pacific Community (SPC) is the principal scientific and technical organisation in the Pacific region, proudly supporting development since 1947. SPC is an international development organisation owned and governed by our 26 country and territory members. SPC will provide leadership in disaster risk management as well as technical expertise pertaining to the FRDP.
The Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) is the regional organisation established by the Governments and administrations of the Pacific charged with protecting and managing the environment and natural resources of the Pacific. SPREP will provide leadership in climate change as well as technical expertise pertaining to the FRDP.
